Normally, it is impossible to fill-out forms when you use it as ordinary PDF or non-interactive forms. Luckily, it is now available to edit or add data to forms by importing or exporting them into Form Data Format with LightPDF. So if you’re wondering about how, you can check the following steps written below.
Export Data
If you have completed a PDF form, you can save the data in another file format (FDF). Then, you can reuse the data to fill out the same form again or another form with the same fields and field names.
- Go to the “Form” option > “Export Data” > choose a folder to save and rename the new file > press “Save” button > then you will save the PDF data in FDF format
Import Data
In some scenarios, people send completed forms as data-only files instead of PDFs. The files are not PDFs, but FDFs. You can view the data submitted by an individual recipient in the context of the PDF by opening the original file and importing the information in the data file.
- Go to the “Form” option > “Import Data” > select an FDF file that contains the data you want to import > click “Open” > the data will then be imported into the PDF
Reset
- Go to the “Form” option > “Reset” > the PDF will return to its original state.
